Cheyenne is a country girl at heart that moved her life to the city just over 5 years ago. With an ever growing passion for all things style and fashion, Cheyenne joins our tribe with plenty of exciting ideas, creativity and of course, terrible dad jokes!
Cheyenne has a number of years in the fashion industry under her belt, ranging from retail management, wholesale, merchandising, buying and of course - our personal fave, styling! We sat down with Chey to talk all things from fashion through to food - of course ;)
So Chey, how would you best describe your style?
C: Which day of the week?! Haha. I am a big believer in dressing for how you feel. Someday's I could wake up a Stevie Nicks wanna-be, other days I might be feelin' the basics with a white tee and ripped boyfriend jeans and then there are those days I wake up feelin' like a potato and don't get out of my pj's! I'm all about variety.
What's your best style advice?
C: I always hear people saying 'I can't afford to dress the way I'd like', which I totally understand, but I have a solution for all our poor girl problems- Style isn't wearing a $1000 dress, it's wearing a $100 dress and making it look $1000. Also! Re-wearing is caring (for your bank balance) I'm here to tell ya that you can wear anything in your wardrobe multiple times simply by mixing up your layering, accessories, hair or make-up.
What's your favorite item in store at the moment?
C: Thats a veeeerrrrry tough decision haha. I would have to say theSaint Helenas 'Jonah Jumpsuit'. I am a sucker for anything that looks cute but feels as comfy as pj's. This is the perfect jumpsuit to wear casually with a pair of slides and cute sun hat or dress up with a nude strappy heel and statement earring.
As we know you love talking about food, we thought we'd throw in a foodie question- what's your go to snack at the moment?
C: Haha, I do love my snacks. Well I'm giving the ol'healthy eatinga go at the moment, so i'd have to say theseCherry Ripe Bliss Ballsare doing wonders for my chocolate cravings! Hack; make an excessive amount in one hit (just don't eat half of them in one sitting I've heard that can make you feel violently ill.........) then freeze them!
What are you reading at the moment?
C: I am half way throughPURPOSE by Lisa Messenger, and absolutely loving it. I'll admit I am not the biggest reader, but this book is so beautifully enlightening whilst being refreshingly honest and incredibly inspiring! Definitely recommend to any up and coming entrepreneurs, or anyone simply feeling a little lost.
What can we expect to see from you and the TA tribe over the next coming months?
C: Oh so many exciting things! We are bringing on fun and fresh new labels (as well as continuing our love for all things Spell - like these incredibleCity Lights Pants!) expanding our creative team, only weeks away from an epic store refurbish, opening the doors to our sister store Tierra Alma Home (stay tuned for this one!!), I'll be heading to Coachella in April bringing you guys heaps of fun and exciting content and of course - we have a few special things up our sleeves that I can't quite disclose of just yet - watch this space though ;)
